Bayshore Boulevard is a beautiful four and a half mile stretch along the sea-walled shore of Hillsborough Bay that connects South Tampa and Downtown Tampa. The scenic drive is lined with multi-million dollar, impeccably landscaped historic homes and modern towering condominium residences.
Bayshore Boulevard is also an extremely popular destination for the physically fit and those folks who simply want to enjoy the views and soak up the sunshine. The sidewalk is continually occupied by joggers, walkers, roller-bladers and bikers out on their daily quest for exercise.
Bayshore Boulevard is also the location for the annual Gasparilla Day and Children’s Parades held in January or February each year. Parade-goers of all ages clamor for beads as they are entertained by the passing of hundreds of Pirate themed floats along the boulevard. After the parade, a street party is held in downtown continues the Pirate invasion celebration well into the wee hours of the night.
