About Argus Capital
Chris Mercer is Vice President of Argus Capital a Tampa based commercial real estate mortgage banking firm. He specializes in real estate finance with a primary focus on multifamily though he is involved in most aspects of retail, industrial, and office commercial real estate. Argus Capital offers the most aggressive financing of investment properties in Tampa. They finance deals through local, regional, and national banks as well as insurance companies, FHA, and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.
He graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters degree in Real Estate Finance and a History/Political Science BA. Go Gators! He has been a licensed real estate broker in Florida since 1999 and will earn the CCIM designation in 2008.
His last real estate company, Apartment Express Corporate Housing was recognized by Inc. Magazine as the #170 fastest growing company in America in 2003 & #194 in 2004. He successfully sold the company to a regional apartment firm in August 2006 to focus on other aspects of real estate finance. He owns a portfolio of approximately seventy units including warehouse, apartments, and condominiums.
Chris lives in South Tampa with his wife Mary and two dogs Leo (10 yr old Italian Greyhound) and Bella (6 month old Chocolate Lab). Hobbies include sports cars, diesel trucks, tennis, golf, SCUBA diving, and of course real estate.
